Questions about Loadout.

Short answers. For the detail, see the features, the pricing and the blog. Anything else, ask us; a person replies.

What is Loadout?

A coaching platform for coaches who programme for athletes. You write sessions the way you already write them; Loadout turns each line into structured sets, reps, load, pace, distance and rest, so the athlete logs with one tap, cardio runs on their watch, and progress is readable across weeks without re-reading notes.

How is it different from a text-based coaching platform?

On a text-based platform the session is a paragraph and the result is a box the athlete types into. On Loadout the session is structure: every set, interval and rest is a field. That is what lets the watch run the session, the result log itself, the roster rank who needs attention, and the AI draft the next block without you retyping anything.

What does it cost?

Free for up to 2 active clients with no time limit. Above that, 49 USD a month (about 39 GBP) including 5 active clients, then 5 USD (about 4 GBP) per extra active client per month. Annual billing gives 2 months free. An active client is one with a session scheduled, logged or commented on in the last 30 days.

Does the AI write the programme for me?

It drafts. You give it a brief (the athlete, the goal, the block length, the equipment, the injuries) and it returns a structured draft you edit before applying. The parser then structures every line as you type. Your words are kept as written and you can override any field. There is no chat window; the AI works inside the builder.

Which watches does it work with?

Sessions are pushed to Garmin and to intervals.icu as structured workouts, and intervals.icu forwards them to Garmin, Wahoo and Zwift. Activities come back from Garmin, Strava, intervals.icu, Apple Health and Health Connect, and a TCX file can be uploaded by hand. A matched activity completes the prescribed cardio session on its own.

What do my athletes use?

The Loadout athlete app on iPhone and Android, or the web app. Today's session, one tap per set, a grid for the sets that went differently, their history per exercise, messages and comments with you in real time. You invite them from the roster; they never see a signup page.

Is my athletes' data shared or tracked?

No. There are no analytics trackers or advertising pixels on the site or in the apps. Each coaching organisation is its own boundary; an athlete's data is visible to their coach and to them. Athletes can export everything or delete their account from Settings.

What counts as an active client?

A client with a session scheduled, logged or commented on in the last 30 days, counted on the billing date. A paused athlete with nothing scheduled costs nothing.

What happens if I go over the free plan?

On the free plan you can have up to 2 active clients. Go over and you have seven days to choose a plan. Your athletes' logging, messages and comments are never blocked; inviting more athletes and creating new programmes wait for the plan.

Is there a limit on AI drafting?

A fair use allowance that scales with your roster: 6 block drafts and 300 parsed lines per active client per month. Normal coaching does not reach it, and it resets each month.

Can I bring my athletes over from another coaching app?

Yes. Invite each athlete by link. There is no automatic import from other coaching apps, so carry over the current block by pasting or retyping it (the builder structures it as you type) and keep an export of the old history. Athletes who connect intervals.icu, Strava or Garmin can import their activity history, a year by default.

Do athletes need a watch?

No. Every session can be logged in the app, one tap per set, and cardio can be logged by hand or from a TCX file. A connected watch adds structured workouts on the wrist and automatic completion.

Can I work with other coaches in one organisation?

Yes. Invite coaches into your organisation by link. They share the roster, the exercise library and the templates, and billing counts active clients across the organisation, not coach seats.

Can I put my own brand on the athlete app?

Yes. Set your accent colour and logo and your athletes see them in the app.

Can I set fitness tests?

Yes. Use the built-in baseline tests such as the beep test and the Cooper test, or create your own with the measurements you need, then assign them to athletes. Every attempt is kept so you can compare them.

I train without a coach. Is there a version for me?

Yes. Loadout Solo is the same engine with the system as the coach, built for people preparing for military selection, basic training and fitness tests. It lives at loadoutsolo.com.
