Tactical and military S&C

For coaches who prepare people for selection, service and the tests in between.

Tactical athletes train for several things at once: a timed run, a loaded march, strength, muscular endurance, and a test date that does not move. Loadout keeps all of it in one structured programme, puts the running on the watch, and tracks the tests against the date.

The problems, and what Loadout does about them.

  • TodayMixed sessions written as paragraphs: intervals, a ruck, a circuit and a lift in the same week.

On LoadoutEach line becomes structure: interval stages with targets, distance and load for a march, rounds for a circuit, a set grid for the lift.

  • TodayCandidates re-entering runs by hand, or not at all.

On LoadoutCardio goes to their Garmin or intervals.icu calendar and the activity completes the session when it lands.

  • TodayTests tracked in a spreadsheet next to the programme.

On LoadoutBuilt-in baseline tests (beep test, Cooper test and more) plus your own tests with your own measurements, assigned to an athlete and recorded per attempt so you can compare runs.

  • TodayShift work, deployments and courses breaking the plan.

On LoadoutDrag sessions to new days, or describe the change and review a proposed rewrite of the block. Logged sessions are never touched.

  • TodayKnowing who is struggling before the test, not after.

On LoadoutThe roster flags athletes who go quiet or slip on compliance, and the morning briefing names them with a draft message.

A week.

  • SundayDraft a 12-week block to the test date from a brief; adjust the phases; apply.
  • MondayIntervals on the candidate's watch before they wake; the run logs itself.
  • WednesdayA strength session logged one tap per set; a record marked on the spot.
  • SaturdayA loaded march; distance, time and heart rate back on the session.
  • Every morningSleep, soreness and HRV in front of you before you change a load.

Questions.

Can I set my own fitness tests?

Yes. Use the built-in baseline tests or create your own with the measurements you need (time, distance, reps, level). Assign a test to an athlete; each attempt is recorded so you can compare one with the next.

Do self-coached candidates ever look for a coach?

Some do. Coaches can choose to be listed for Loadout Solo subscribers, the self-coached version for selection and fitness tests. A subscriber who wants a human coach can request you and choose what training data to share; you accept or decline.

Is Loadout endorsed by any armed service or police force?

No. Loadout is independent coaching software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any service, force or test owner.
